Janellen Steininger Theatrical Bio:

Janellen has performed in theaters around the country, and film and television.

She was most recently seen in the award-winning PICNIC at Antaeus, Also with Antaeus: MOTHER COURAGE, YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU, OF MICE AND MEN.

Other theatre credits include: THE WOOD DEMON, Mark Taper Forum: and PHAEDRE at The Getty Villa. Odyssey Theatre: JUNO AND THE PAYCOCK. She has performed extensively at East/West Players, also: The Evidence Room, The Fountain Theatre, 24th Street Theatre, Old Globe, San Diego. Film/TV include: RAISING HOPE, SLEEPER CELL, GENERAL HOSPITAL, ROSEANNE.

Janellen received a BFA With Honors from N.Y.U, and also studied with The Royal Shakespeare Company and completed the Stella Adler Theater Conservatory program.

In Los Angeles, she studied with Jose Quintero and with Mako at East West Players, and received vocal coaching with Delbert Taylor, and has performed in studio and in concert with his quartet.

Her career has branched out to include performing ADR in German and English, and translating from German to English for theater, opera, film and television. Janellen is a teaching artist for Arts Education Outreach, as well as an acting teacher for Academy at he Antaeus Company, L.A.’s premiere Classical Theatre Ensemble, where she is a founding member.
